What size canopy should I get for my canoe or kayak?

For our canoe, kayak, and tandem kayak canopy sizes, we recommend a canopy that is the same length as your canoe, kayak or tandem kayak. This gives you ample head room, while fitting nicely on your craft. The canopies are designed to cover the cockpit, not the entire craft. However, our sizing should match your craft’s length. This includes the canopy, tension rods, and attachments. Example: A 14 foot kayak would need a 14’ canopy.

Will the canopies work inflatable canoes or kayaks?

In most cases, no.

What Material is used for the canopy and tension rods?

We use an ultra violet rated rip-stop nylon material in our canopies and carrying cases. Fiberglass is used for the tension rods.

How can I store my Canopy?

Our canopies and tension rods are made to collapse (similar to a tent), into an easy to carry package?

How do the canopies attach to Canoes and Kayaks?

We use spring clamps on all canoe canopies. They open 2” and attach to the gunwales.

For Kayaks we provide mounting brackets that requires installation by the user. Instructions provided and minimal tools required.

Can I add my own logo to the canopy?

In most cases, yes. We allow for a one color logo to be applied to the canopy. Logo’s must be in high resolution files and mailed to us at time of purchase. If the logo can not be applied, we will let you know before starting your order. You may cancel you order at that time.

What is the manufacturing timeframe?

We handmake our canopies in the Adirondacks to order. Please allow 2 weeks for the product to be crafted, tested. and shipped out to you.

What kind of Shipping to you offer?

We ship all products using USPS priority ground shipping, which comes with tracking and shipping insurance.

Do you ship Domestically?

Domestic USPS shipping rates apply based on location, product quantity, and weight.

Do you ship Internationally?

International USPS shipping rates apply based location, product quantity, and weight. Please allow an extra 10 days for international shipping.

What are the safety recommendations?

Canopies are not to be used as a flotation device. We always suggest using with the utmost care around children, and when on the water. Not recommended for use in high winds.

What is the Return Policy?

You have 30 days to return your canopy in good condition. When received and inspected, we will return the product cost on the credit card used to purchase the item. The cost of shipping of returns is not covered.

What is the Warranty?

If the product is damaged upon receipt, or if it fails within 30 days, a replacement product will be provided if proof of damage is emailed to us at info@adkcanop.com.

Do you offer bulk order discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for orders over 10. Please contact us for discount information and pricing.

Do you offer other discounts or sales?

We very infrequently offer discounts or sales on our products. We strive to keep our pricing as low as possible while keeping the products 100% made in the USA.
